My water bill is $85 a month, just for water. No sewage. Then we pay $49 every 3 months for garbage. Our utilties are high.

Wow that is high! Our garbage is around $78 every 3 months and our water/sewage is $68 every 3 months as well.
Gosh I dont know what I would do if our water bill was that high every month, how do you manage?

If you'll recall, we have been having a hard time. My utilties are ridiculous. I read these posts about utilities and what everyone on here is paying, and I am shocked how low others are. My utilities are the norm for this area. We don't overspend much on anything, it is just that our utitlities kill us. Propane has been high too. Our electric bill is usually $90 to 140 a month, with higher end being in the summer for our AC and above ground pool pump running, although we have the pump on a timer. My kids are 20, almost 18, and 14. They are expensive.

Wow Buckeye5, I am sorry! Our electric bill goes up in summer too, of course with the use of the AC but not by much... maybe up to $70 a month, we have central air but when we turn that on, our electric goes up to $95+, we can afford that so we deal with the AC or nothing at all.

I bet you will sure see a change. I don't know if we are really lucky or not. We have a much higher basic electric bill due to the well pump. I'd guess it evens out. We are very conservitive on the electric and I'm thrilled if it's under $100. In the summer if we run the AC in the bedrooms it really jumps.

My water bill is usually between $45-55 a month, including sewage and garbage pickup, and of course, taxes, and a "lake" fee.
Funny enough, one day, years ago, I was watering the grass. Well, a few HOURS later I remembered that I had not turned of the sprinkler, and my yard had been turned into a swamp. I just *knew* the water bill would be sky high, but it only went up by like $3.00. Which, of course, pleased me, but was still very confusing.
