I only have four lights that I really use a lot in the house. Well, 5, but one I'm going to have a get a dimmer for. I put CFB's in the four I use most of all...my bedroom, the LR lamp next to my lounge chair, the hall, and the computer room. I want to do the kitchen and bath, but the bath has one of those Hollywood lights with six globe bulbs, and the globe CFB's are REALLY expensive! Still, I'm thinking I'll replace one of the globes every month, and then I won't have to replace them all at once when they go out!

The kitchen has recessed lighting, and again, the 65 watt CFB's are really expensive. I'm gonna figure something out in there, but the one light I can use a regular CFB in is on a dimmer.

Anyway, with the four I replace, and one in my bathroom I can replace, I think my light bill is gonna be a lot lower. That, plus I did the thing where you put all your "glowing" things on a strip, and turn the strip off when you aren't using them, and that will save a little too.

I'm going to try turning my hot water heater off during the day when I'm gone and at night when I'm asleep as well. I used to do this in SC, and the water will stay hot for 24 hours, so it saves lots of money to do this. It's on a separate circuit breaker, and while it will be a hassle, it won't be that bad.

I'm trying to cut my light bill in half. Next, the water...got lots of plans for that one too.
