    Default I have no telephone

Well, they did it...cut off my phone, thus my dsl. I can't get in touch with them EXCEPT by phone, which means I have to go to a friend's house and humiliate myself by telling her I have had my phone cut off and need to use hers.

I'm thinking seriously of not having a phone anymore. I'm thinking pre-paid cell, and no internet at all. I spend way too much time online anyway.

But we'd miss you around here!!!! I'm sorry about your phone, what a pain! Maybe the prepaid cell phone would be the way to go for now.

You can't prove that you paid it? Try your bank statement.

I don't know if I could go with out my internet, now the phone, yes, I have a cell phone. Maybe find out if you can just get a hook up for the internet, and no land line. Then get a cell phone..

Awww...I'm sorry!! That would suck!! My dh and I shut ours off...and went to a cell phone each with free mobile to mobile...so we chose the lowest # of minutes plan. It's working really well.

If you can keep the dsl, what about something like Vonage?

Bummer - but don't be embarrassed, a true friend wouldn't judge you over such things.

Hope you get everything taken care of.

Is it your cell that keeps running up or is it more of a long distance problem on your land line?

If its the second you might consider shutting off your DSL and going to Dial up (no long distance with your provider) for like...12.00 a month and just using dial up for you internet. Just be sure to get one of those programs that kicks you off line when someone calls you! (I forget what mine was called, but it worked great!)

As for the long distance go to PowerNetGlobal.com for long distance at .03 cents a minute! Hope that helps.

I hope that there is a way for you to keep the internet access or to visit the library because you will be missed around here if you give up the internet all together.
