Gas furnace. I work from home, so in the winter I shut the door to my office and have a very small space heater in here during the day rather than keeping the whole house as warm as I like.

As of now, none. But we live in AZ... we need to get around to buying a small portable heater for the colder nights sometime soon, but other than that, we just put on more clothes.
It does get pretty chilly some nights, but after so many months of heat, it is kind of refreshing.

Heat with Wood from our fireplace with an insert mostly then supplement with oil heat. Our eating area (porch conversion & is farthest from fireplace) is heated by a small gas heater when needed.

Wood heat - primary source of heat
Electric furnace (we have a hybrid alternate power set-up but only a 110v converter, so we try not to use our 220v furnace, since it pulls power from the grid)
Kerosene heaters
Electric space heaters

Two woodstoves ( one big cookstove in the kitchen and a regular one in the living room) and an oil furnace that we use at night.

We have central heat and air.
We also have 2 wood burning fireplaces but have never used them since we bought our house in Mar 06. They are on either end of the house, one in the living room and one in the master bedroom. If they were more centrally located I think they would be good for heat, but since they are on either end of the house, I think they wouldn't do much else other than suck the heat right up the chimney. We haven't had them cleaned or anything either, so it probably isn't safe to use them anyway.Nicole, Mom of 4 ages 6-16~

We have gas furnace, woodstove, two coal-burning fireplaces (that we don't use for cleanliness reasons), small electric heaters, and electric mattress pads

We have natural gas furnace and a fireplace with a wood insert. We also have electric space heater. The kids have electric blankets for there beds in the winter as they sleep downstairs and it gets about 20 degrees colder down there that upstairs.

We have a heat pump as our main source. We also have a propane log set in our fireplace, and a baseboard heat unit in our family room. We also have several small portable heaters.

I have central heat which is a heat pump, but I also have a small space heater in case I need it. Sometimes when it gets very cold, the heat pump just can't keep the house warm enough for me. For those who don't know, heat pump heat is cold heat, not warm air. I will plug in the space heater in the LR when I'm watching t.v. or something, rather than turn the heat up.
I also have a heated mattress pad. I like to turn the heat way down at night, and use that to keep warm.
