Thread: 55 degrees at night to low?

My SO would love to have it set that low. I have begged for it to be up to the 62 we currently have it set at. That's at nighttime and I have a heated waterbed which I crank up to 90ish. (lucky for him he has his own heated mattress which he promptly turns wayyyyy down) We have the house set to 62 for times we are not there and bedtimes, 70 the rest of the time. I know, that is super warm but gosh the girls and I wear sweaters, socks, sometimes our robes over our clothes and we are still cold. The SO is overheated and wishes I would let us turn it down during the times we are home. Compromise, compromises. ha!

It's not too cold for me. I like sleeping in a cold room but dh would complain. I like to be snuggled up in a bunch of blankets in a cold room.

I have a thermostat in each room of my house and I set most of the house to 55 at night. I have my bedroom at 62, but that's because my cat sleeps with me on the bed on top of the covers and he's elderly and I worry that 55 would be too cold for him. For me alone, I wouldn't have a problem with setting it to 55 otherwise, as I like snuggling under a pile of blankets.

I think you will be fine. The only thing that could freeze is you, ha! ha! Just make sure you bundle up well with some nice blankets to keep warm.

I like sleeping when it's cold, as long as I have some good thick comforters!
I even open windows in the winter. But hubby....... different story. So we compromise with 60, and I just stick my feet out from under the covers!!!Spiritual:

I keep mine set at 62 over night and while we are away, DH is always cold and he would complain WAY too much if I kick it down any more.
