Default New Gas Meter Put In

Well the utility guy came in. He said he had to replace the meter. I spoke to him and stated that only the heat was gas. He kept on saying oh when I pointed out the water heater and stove was electric. He said I probably was just not using alot of gas. Apparently the starter on the heater is electric also. Plus he said since I was in an apartment I was probably being heated from the other apartments around me. He had to come out since I had called about my electric and the person I was talking to noticed I wasnt being billed for gas. Luckily I have saved some bills. Which I showed him. And he said OH again.

So probably don't have to worry, my usage is just low. Will know in next bill.

Thanks for listening. I also have realized that I only use about $30 in electric however I am charged another $20 in delivery charges for the electric. (I was thinking I was using $50 not $30 in electric). So I should probably start looking around for a different supplier. And yes I just put the utility payment in the mail today. LOL

Glad you got that taken care of, just remember that now a gas bill will be coming in so add it to your budget and while it may not be much until you turn your heat on, just keep an eye on it.

Glad you got it taken care of but hopeing you aren't hit with a big bill next month. If you have other options for electric I'd sure check into it. We are stuck with one company so can't do price shopping here.

Glad you got things figured out. Sounds like you just don't use much gas, yay! Bummer that the delivery charge is so high isn't it?!!!

When we were in an apartment when newly married, we used very little heat, we drew from those around us. Our first bill was a guestimate on their part and we were so overcharged that we had a balance with them for over 6 months before we had to pay again!

A *delivery charge* for electric?!?! What in the world!!

I guess I'm spoiled since I'm in an electric co-op.
