Default We saved $1100 on our electric bill!

My DH just added up how much we saved on our electricity bill for 2007 compared to 2006. Although electric prices went up I managed to cut the bill by $1100 for the year by air drying all clothes (this was the biggest savings for me...DH used to wash and dry 2-3 loads a day during the peak energy hours!! ) and trying to keep lights out etc.
Now I want to bring the savings up even more for 2008!! Just wanted to let everyone know that every little bit of energy conservation helps!! And...I've made Dh a believer!

yes it is! In my part of PA we have one of the highest rates for electricity around. On average our electric bill was $250 a month in 2006. I managed to get it down to around $160-$175 on average for 2007. In all fairness, we suffered a devastating flood (our 3rd in 3 years) in 2006 so I'm sure the rebuilding and renovations drove up our electric costs but we have definitely committed to keeping them as low as possible in 2008!
