Last month we bought 2 space heaters..
And after a full month of using them and not turning the heat up past 62, I'm happy to report that our electric bill went down $17! Not a LOT, but every dollar helps. AND....it was much colder this past month than it was the month prior .....so I have a feeling the ratio of savings are actually higher than what my bill reflected.

I use the wood burning fireplace all winter, but find in the spring we can't as we overheat. So our highest bills are then. I'm going to try a space heater in my living room so that I don't run the furnace all day.
