Default My gas bill is crazy

I get my gas bill for this month. I used less gas than last month but my bill is $42 higher! I can't afford high gas bills every month. Where is spring?

If you used less gas, how can your gas bill be higher? Did they change your rates? I am having fits over my gas bills too...seems to me they get you coming and going and there isn't a darned thing you can do about it!

It sounds like they raised the rates. Darned gas companies! I would call them to find out what happened.

I enrolled in the CAP program here in PA its a set monthly payment determined on your income. Even though you hav to pay through the summer months it saved you in the winter months. I've been on it for about two and a half years and I have racked up a credit of 320.00 on my gas bill....Don't know if you have that where you guys live but it might be worth checking into...

I'm sorry your gas bill keeps going up. Those companies always find ways to suck you dry of money by all those little stupid service fees. $42 is alot of money to go up. I would call them and have them explain the charges. Just remember spring is coming soon! At least I think so........the snow we got today kind of makes me question it.

My friend says she pays more in service charges on her electric bill than she does for actual usage. Her bill is outrageous and when she called to complain the lady at the electric co op told her to be happy, she is lucky the co op exists because she wouldnt have electricity if they didnt. Can you believe that argument? Rediculous!!!

    Default Gas Bill

We're on a program through our gas company where we pay the same every month too (in Nebraska). I think we pay $77 a month year round, but if we get too much of a credit during the summer it drops down to $55 a month. My husband works nights, so at night and during the day when he's home I turn the heat off unless it's cold enough to freeze the pipes. Our biggest bill last winter, without the payment plan, would only have been $97 anyway. Bills during the summer are under $30, sometimes just under $20.

    Default Gas Prices

The price of Natural Gas has jumped up in the last month...and it is going higher and staying higher for the rest of 2008 according to the forecasts that I've been watching.

I found out what the problem was. My mom switched to a company that said the gas bill would be cheaper going through them. It was cheaper but with all the taxes plus a $40 charge it was way higher. They were cancelled.
