We're Going Fishing!~
Deep Sea Fishing to be exact! (feel free to add any advice)

May not be the most frugal thing we have planned... but it covers a lot of bases, so I happily justified it -- family bonding, father's day, school vacation, food (crossing my fingers)
I've been deep sea fishing a few times, this will be DD's first time. The Old Man is a bit nervous about how she will be on the boat...
If she gets wonky, HE can sit with her in the galley because *I* am the better fisher!
Seriously, I can't stand touching a live fish, but I have no problem stabbing the slimy clams on the hook and nabbing those fish!
Wish us luck!
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

Good luck
(wishing you good luck because you asked for it, not for the reasons below)
The one time I went deep sea fishing is not a memory I like to think about
Dave spent the entire 6 hrs throwing up, it was cold (even moreso because we went at night)and wet, and I came home smelling like chum.
Where are you going? (I'm in MA too)

Have a great time.

Capt. Johns in Plymouth.
I have gone on theirs a few times already... small but they have everything I need... a rail, a sink and a bathroom
I had thought about going to Eastman/Gauron's at Hampton Beach, but don't want to deal with the coming home traffic...

If it's going to be a choppy day take some dramamine before you even get on the boat! Also keep your eyes on the horizon, that will help you not get sick. Last but not least, don't hold it in. If you have to barf, do it. You'll feel better after!
We went deep sea fishing last time we were in Florida. It was really fun. My dad knew a captain who took us out for totally free. It was fun but I did get a little sick.

Oh you lucky girl!

I'm so envious! I've never been deep sea fishing and I so want to try it! I think its a wonderful plan for a holiday and you should not feel one bit quilty about the money. That's a memory you're making, not frivolous spending!
I don't have any advice except to make sure you have something for sea sickness and some very light foods on board like crackers, cheese, stuff like that. Make sure you are all hydrated and it should be a wonderful time! Have fun and enjoy!
