What ARE the chances....?!
So last week Gripey and I take a cruise to the Bahamas. Well actually it was a back to back cruise that was a 3 day and 4 day. We did this b/c we had free frequent flyer miles and found a great deal this way. Anyway, soooooo we get to the port to board the ship and I go to turn off my cell phone. My cell phone....omg, where's my cell phone?!!!
Ssooooo we get permission to use Gripey's cell phone to call it right quick (can't use a phone in the port bldg. as it's a secure gov't bldg.). Call it, no answer. Well dang. Ok, call the provided have it turned off....done. Whew. Sssoooo fast forward to the end of the 2nd leg of the cruise. We've spent 4 glorious days with ds and ddil on that leg of the cruise and really had a fantastic time. Couldn't have asked for anything more (except Gripey didn't feel well for part it). We're walking on air....get to the hotel to stay one more night and Gripey goes 'where's my cell phone?'!!! No way! Yep....it's gone. I use a phone card to call it, no answer. Call the provider and have it cut off..... DANG it! We've decided that the phones are together in the cell phone twilight zone
together....
We bought new phones this morning, NOT a frugal purchase at all....but he has to have one and I'm lost without mine too.....
Anyway, what do you reckon the chances are? Seriously.

What a bummer!
That sounds like something that would happen to me and my DH. We have the most ridiculous luck! Actually, I'm convinced that DH has the worst luck, I'm just along for the ride!

That stinks! Check e-bay in a few days, you can probably buy your old phones back. Sounds like you had a blast though, good for you!

What a bummer! I can't believe you lost both phones on the same trip!?!?! What luck! I am glad you were able to call and have them turned off so that noone was able to make calls with them just by chance they did find them.
I am with you - I am lost without my cell phone too. It is crazy how we have become accustomed to carrying a phone with us everywhere we go.~*Michelle*~

Ouch. Losing one is bad enough--but both and within the same week? Oy. Sorry about that.
That is definitely something that would happen to me

Oh- how frustrating! I'm sorry that happened to you. I'm glad you enjoyed the trip, though.
I'd be in trouble if my phone went missing- all my contacts are stored in there. I guess you've given me something to think about as far as a back-up storage system for all those numbers- my paper address file is very outdated.

Sorry about you losing the phones but that would be a good one for a comedian to elaborate on when you lose two.
