Canton, Texas Trade Days

Hey! WE just took a weekend trip to Canton, Texas to the First Monday flea market! When I say "we," I mean myself, my sister, our mother and our two aunts.

The market was fantastic, but I think we all enjoyed being together almost more than the market!

We stayed up till 2 am listening to our oldest aunt telling stories about the "olden days" and telling stories about people in our family she has researched.

About the flea market:
We were only there one day, so we didn't see the whole thing! What we saw was great! There were so many unique items there! Of course it was very hot.

I'd recommend getting a cart to carry purchases and carrying water!

Sounds like you had a great little get-away with your family!! I have always intended on visiting the Canton Trade Days, but have yet to do so. Everytime we pass by there on the way to DH's grandmother's house in Louisiana, I mention visiting. One day I will. Your words about it make me want to go even more!

It is a neat place. My grandparents live right down the street from there. We haven't been to First Monday in many years, but it is always fun. It would take a few days to see it all.
