    11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
    credit card debt 7500
    mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
    then live on the rest!

i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

I love Williamsburg. I'd go there yearly if the Curmudgeon would be willing.

A few years ago I had the opportunity to listen to one of their tailors, he was wonderful to listen to. Future goals of people to chat up there are the weaver and a baker.

i'm a nut. my home is even colonial williamsburg. i love this place and never tire of it. it's always fresh, and new.

dining room = governors palace ballroom blue
great room = everhard house yellow
    bathroom = tavern brown

did you see the new green room in the governors palace? it's screaming green. so much for subdued colors.

I LOVE Williamsburg ~ I live about 35 miles away and often wonder why I don't live there instead. Tons of stuff to do up there

I'm persuadable for more frequency than at present. I'm never, ever, EVER doing a January trip there again, however.

    And NO TIME SHARES!

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

I know - we stayed at the Lodge before when we were there one January.

The time share comment was kind of an inside joke, sorry.

I have always wanted to go there. I love visiting historic sites. You have to share your adventure with us when you get back.

Will always be one of my favorite places. When we lived in NH, that was always our spring break destination. Twelve years ago DD and I flew to there for a long weekend to help celebrate my aunt and Uncle's 50th anniversary - so wonderfel!!....and quite an eyeopener to my Island girl!! Have a great time and please share all that you can with us upon return!!

Ooooo....I am so jealous! What an awesome trip that will be.

How much we enjoy what we have is more important than how much we have. Life is full of people who have more than they know what to do with, but cannot be content. It is the capacity to enjoy life that brings contentment.---Unknown
