Default Appalachian Trail resources for preschoolers?

I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas/info on any homeschool preschool resources/info for preschoolers? Our family is going to be hiking the Appalachian Trail next month and my daughter is interested in learning the history, etc. But I'm wanting info that will be on her level that she can understand. TIA!

Thanks!! I Googled a few key words as well, but wasn't coming up w/ much..at the moment
I appreciate you looking into it for me!

We're super excited - we make a yearly trip out to Gatlinburg, and last year was the first year we did a hike. My DD was barely 3 at the time and I was pregnant, so we couldn't do much more than a couple miles, but this year IT IS ON! LOL! I think she's more looking forward to picking and eating the blackberries along the way!

I hope you have a great time! Sounds like memories your family will carry with them for a lifetime.

I am not sure where you are entering the trail but the ranger station outside of Cades Cove always has lots of books and things for children. Just a thought.

We'll be in that area - I Googled Cades Cove - looks like something we'd definitley like to check out while we're there! How fun!
