    Default heading to Colorado!

funny enough, while I was on vacation in Maine, a very dear friend of mine called and told me the celebration for his wedding/birth of baby is the end of August. well guess what! I'm going!

very excited about this. I do have to pay for airfare and I'm renting a car but I'll be staying at his house with a few other CT travelers.

probably not my most frugal vacation but its going to be one hek of a good time!

And as luck would have it, my dad gave me a check right before I left on vacation saying "happy vacation". Being the FV'er that I am, I put it in my ING account. It will will more than cover my costs. Way to go Dad!

I'm flying into Aspen and my friend lives in Carbondale. I have relatives in Colorado Springs that I visited about 7 years ago but I couldn't tell you where.

Maine was a bit chilly last week, more like fall than summer. I was in Rome, stayed on Long Pond.

The last time I was in Colorado was 7 yrs ago and I was 5 months pregnant. Should be a much different experience this time around.

If you're going to be in Carbondale, go up to Marble and tour the mine, it's where they got the marble for the tomb of the unknown soldier, there is also a castle up there, I think it is the Redstone Castle, and of course down to Glenwood Springs for the natural hot springs!
