Question Do you book your airline tickets online or do you use an agent?

And if you do book them yourselves where do you find the best deals? Dh and I have a week booked at an all inclusive resort in Mexico. We have to use this before the end of the year and it's looking like we could have booked a week at an all inclusive with airfare cheaper.....   It's too late to change it but where do you find your best deals on airline tickets?

I check out travelocity, expedia and hotdeals online. I have found some great deals through them.

    us too....

sometimes we've found really good deals online then called the booking agents for that airline & gotten an even better deal with our military discount...but they wouldn't offer us the killer deals beforehand - go figure!

by the way - I'm less than a mile from Mexico and could certainly offer an all-inclusive overnight visit.....hint, hint!!

I book online straight from the Airlines! If you book enough in advanced you can save major bucks, for instance I was suppose to fly to Texas this month well, sis didn't order the ticket it WAS $198.00 now it's $649.00 round trip

I try every avenue I can. I use travelocity, expedia, cheaptickets, and priceline.

Then if those aren't cheap enough, I try to hit the actual airlines themselves. Don't just look online- try calling to talk with an actual person. I've gotten better deals that way.

If all else fails, I call up a travel agent my mother uses. Sometimes she can give us a good deal.

I book online directly with the airline. I fly Jet Blue & Southwest pretty exclusively so I have signed up for their newletters and get the new fare alerts as soon as they are announced. And then I book. Even months in advance as we fly down to Florida 4 times a year, sometimes more. So its good to get the cheapest flight.
We are going down in January & I got roundtrips for 2 for $49.00, couldn't pass that up.

I try online first. Then I call the airlines themselves.
