Scenic places
Who lives near a scenic wonder or interesting place but rarely goes there? I live about 20 minutes from Niagara Falls, but haven't been there for over 20 years.

pq: I live about a half hour from Niagara Falls but hardly ever go there either!!
Letchworth State Park- I was there for the FIRST time last year. I've been there twice now in my lifetime. Beautiful park, grand canyon of the east they say, and well worth the ride. Just can never seem to make the time to go.

I lived about two and a half hours from the Grand Canyon and went there maybe three times- we always went the other way to Nogales, Mexico

Natural beauty/wonder vs. Dog Tacos , the smell of urine and Corona Barilles.

I lived near Letchworth and spent half my life there. rofl It was just THE place to be for me and my friends. lol
I also went to Niagara Falls a lot even though it was over an hour away.
I'm in MI now and haven't been to Mackinac Island.
Hardly a wonder of the world, but it's what we've got here.

Hmmmm--- scenic wonders?
none around here.
We do have Lincoln's home, tomb, and New Salem state park in the area. I seldom go there- took mom last summer so she could take some pictures for her friends overseas. I plan on going to all of them after Christmas when ds's girlfriend is down from Wi to visit.

I don't think it's "scenic" but we lived in UT, near Salt Lake and went to the Great Salt Lake once. Ummm believe me once was enough, there should definatley be public post about the odor
