We are promised to go spent Christmas with my DB and family. They will be moving from FL to KY. We planned on taking Dh's kia rio. Great gas mileage! Well now Mom plans or comming down with us. Obviosly 5 won't fit in a kia rio for a 12 hr drive! Nor the luggage for 5 in the trunk. On a short trip I can barely stand sitting in the rios back seat between by 5ft 9 160 lb son and the 10 year old let alone 12 hrs.
My car is a 2001 taurus with over 90,000 miles on it. Moms car is older than mine and she wouldn't trust to take it.

I was looking at rental rates for a van. So far I'm not finding anything that allows unlimited miles out of state. Any ideas or leads???

I checked plane tickets and the best available are around 300 per person.
