    Default Finally....A much needed vacation!

    DH and I came into a little bit of money today unexpectedly. We've been talking about taking a vacation for months now, but the funds have been pretty tight. DH has a week of vacation planned for the week of Labor Day and we hadn't planned on doing anything, but we just spent a good part of this afternoon mapping out our trip. First we are heading to Durham North Carolina (I've never been) to see his grandmother (whom I've never met) for a couple of days. She'll be turning 93 in a couple of months and DH would really like to see her as he hasn't in over 10 years! Then we are headed to my FIL's vacation home in Wintergreen, Virginia where we will be spending another couple of days. Our last stop will be to Hampton, Virginia to see my son and his wife for another couple of days.

    I am so excited!! I've been online booking hotel rooms all afternoon

    I will definitely be bringing my camera! I spoke to my son last night and he can't wait for us to arrive. With him being stationed in VA and me here in IL we only get to see each other a couple of times a year. This will be my first trip out to see him. He wants to take DH and me on a tour of the Naval Base (he and his wife live off base)... should be pretty cool. I don't think I'll be allowed to take many pics there though.
