planing a family vaction

I am planning my frist ever small family vaction for the summer of 2008.

Which I am sure that it will be fun. The whole point is that we are togeather and having fun. I am panning our trip to go to Destin Fl. Which I know that it will be

. The summer is really the only time that is going to be best. Not for all of us it will be the best. But since that some of us have kids that are in school and one member of the party is a school teacher really that is the only time that worls out. It is high time that all of us take a vacation. This will be my frist one in 6 years. I haven't gone since my aunt, cousin and I went in the summer of 2002. Living in a tourist town myself it is really high time that I take a vacation. I know that I am going to another tourist town in Flordia but it wont be here. I will be near the beach and I can relaxe. I think that when this is all said and done with I think that there will be more that just four families that will be going. I have somewhat a big family. Both dh and myself. He is the youngest of three kids and that there are 5 grand kids. On my side I am the second oldest of 5 grandkids. My father is the middle of three kids himself. I hope that we dont have to end up renting more than one home while we are down there.

Sounds like you are going to have fun! I think the summer is a great time to visit with family and catch up. It might be the start of your annual family gatherings and you can be the creator. Enjoy!

Destin is great!!! We go several times a year. It is good for families, unlike Panama City. Don't get me wrong, I love PC Beach too, but Destin is more low keyed, family friendly fun. I am so sure you are all going to love it.
