Weekend in the Berkshires

Just got back from a long weekend in the Berkshire mountains. We have never been before and being 36 weeks preggie I couldn't make the trip we usually take to Vermont so we figured this was 1/2 the ride and 1/2 the price. It was ok, a bit too family friendly for me, I prefer a bit more upscale. We stayed at a place called the Yankee Inn, Lenox , Mass. It was clean and fairly up to date, but over run with the 6-15 year old crowd. Dh was skiing on Jiminy Peak, said it was great snow but very slow lifts and definately not made for snow boarding, he likes the bigger more challenging places in NY and VT. All in all it was a nice getaway, I just wish we could have had the time to go elsewhere. I bet it's beautiful in the fall there.

You were only about 45 minutes from where I live....It is beautiful here in the Fall..I'm glad you were able to have a little mini vacation before your baby girl arrives! Wow.. it seems just like yesterday that you posted you were pregnant..LOL..
