    Post Flying to PA...

all three of us, to see my family. Now I'm starting to have panic attacks about the flights! We are going from 4/11 - 4/17. Does anyone have any tips for those of us who are nervous about flying? TIA

Awww....sweetie! I fly alot, but I *must* have an aisle seat....then I can float on "Denial River" and pretend that I'm really not up in the air in a tin can! Seriously...I don't look out the window at all....I bring books/magazines, do the crossword in the free airline publication...anything to keep myself occupied. For me, the benefit of being somewhere in a few hours(for us it's Newark to Myrtle Beach or Minneapolis) far outweighs the cons of driving all day, sleeping(or not sleeping) in a motel, and having to do it all again to get home.
So...bottom line...sit on the aisle and pretend it's not happening...works for me!!

This is how I look at flying. I'm happy to be going on a trip and happy to come home. So if I crash on the way--I die happy. Crash on the way home--I die happy and rested. Of course my kids are raised so I don't fret over who and how they are being raised.

Not much advice here even though I've been flying since I was 1. I promise it's not scary.

Where in PA are you flying to?
