Default last change of plans, i hope. Boston info needed...

ok, now. The change of plans is beginning to be difficult. This way! That way! no, this way!

Sigh. Anyhow. We expect to fly in to Boston on sunday afternoon. Rent a car and head up to Maine from there. we are thinking I-93 to I 95. I 95 spits us out right where we need to be in maine. I need to know any tips on getting to the freeway from Logan.

the drive from boston to bangor will be 4 hrs. give or take.

I am glad you will not have to take a 34 hour car trip (each way!) with three kids and a dog. I was imagining how difficult that would be. Flying will be so much easier. Good luck on your trip.

No help Missy but I too am glad you're not having to drive it. I'm sure the flights will be expensive but at least it should be less wear and tear on you all.

I am not in that area so I don't have any advice but I'm glad you decided to fly, it will be so much easier on you and your family than that long car trip. You will all be in my thoughts.

I've never been to Boston so I'm no help---BUT---I always ask for directions when I'm at the car rental counter. They will give you directions, maps and tips. Best of luck for a safe trip.

It's just going to be DH and I. kids are going with a friend for a week, and the dog is going to inlaws. so, woo hoo.

I am stressin hard. we'll arrive at 3 and probably get to leave the airport at about 4 (gather luggage and car)

which will put us in town somewhere around 8 pm

Sending you a big hug & glad the kids & pooch are in good hands.
Take this time to think of you, sure others will need you but for once you need taking care of, do not hesitate to let them or ask others to give you what you need. You can't always be the caregiver, allow yourself to care but also be cared for. You are so worth it & deserve it without apology Missy.

I wish you & yours my heartfelt best.

I95 is right there--you shouldn't have a problem at all finding it. The airport can be a little tricky and there always seems to be construction going on around it, but stick with 95 and you'll be fine. Also, you might want to ask at the airport about construction/alternate routes.

Oops--I meant Rte 1 to Rte 95. I just checked massport for you and it says that currently there's no major construction going on. Not sure if I really believe that!
