    Default Vacation time

UGH.... searching, googling, planning is overwhelming!!

I'm sure the Gas Executives are vacationing nicely this summer after sticking it to us the HARD way!

Taking a break from looking for at least a week.

How far do you have to drive? What's your origination and ending destination?

You know, you should check out Amtrak if at all possible, it's a good option for flying/driving. And the whole family gets to spend time together DURING the way to your destination too.

Default Tossed a coin and this is what we came up with

We live an hour east of Dallas, so we're just going to take a few days (4 to be exact) and go to Fiesta Texas, Sea World and Shlitterbaun (San Antonio and then New Braunsfels). We're going to go the middle week of July so that's how we did it.

Wrote down 4 destinations that everyone wanted to go to and DH got to pick the destination. We're all excited, so everyone is happy. Now, just have to go to Hotels.com, etc and check out some deals.

    THANKS TO ALL WHO RESPONDED...........

Our vacation this summer is we are taking the train to Chicago and staying at my sister's studio while she is on vacation. Her place is right downtown, four blocks from the beach. We have tickets to a Saturday Cub's Game, I can't wait!

    Have fun planning!

WI to KY then on into TN. Dh figures a good 2000 miles + round trip esp allowing for site seeing/day trips etc.

Check out the HAll of Horns while you're in SA. It's pretty interesting even if you don't pay the entry fee. We had a glass of lemonade and looked at the animal trophies.
