I am so ready for a vacation.

I am so reay for a vacation. I am planning a small family vacation for the summer of next year. When we go on this vacation it will be 6 years that dh and I have been on a vacation. In the 8 years that we have been togeather so far him and I have only been on our honeymoon. That was 5 years ago. When I was growing up we hardly took any vacations. The only time I think that we took a vacation was 20 years ago. I was 11 and my brother was 9. My parents were divorced for a long time by then. We would do a few weekend trips. But nothing really special. Mabey to a baseball game or to the lake with our father. But every now and then it feels great to just get out of town for a week. Espcially if you do live in a tourist town. We are going to go to Destin, Fl. I just dont know if I can wait for a year. I guess that if I have waited this year I can wait one more year.

Awww, I know how you feel! Just try to look at it like it is something to look forward to.

I think it's important to have something on the horizon to look forward to, to plan for. You'll really, really enjoy that week when the time comes.

My husband and I will have been married 23 years, July 20, and we've only been on two vacations that whole time, once to Branson, Missouri, and the other to Los Angeles, California. Lately I've gotten to where I want to go on at least one vacation a year. I'm going to create a new envelope, marked vacation, and start putting money in there every payday!
