Default Just checking in while on the road....

We are having a great time visiting our DS#1. I am so glad that we are fortunate enough to be able to make the trip to see him. We left out Monday afternoon and stopped in Louisiana to spend the night with DH's paternal grandmother. It was a great visit. Then on Tuesday we headed for Georgia to stay with DH's aunt and uncle. We didn't know that they had planned a family get together for us. We were able to visit with DH's cousins and all their families. It was wonderful catching up and visiting. It has been 12 years since we have visited with some of them. Then on Wednesday we headed to our final destination....Camp Lejeune to pick up DS#1. We have just enjoyed hanging out with each other and swimming. Tomorrow we are going to drive to the Atlantic Ocean and to do some sight seeing at some museums and such. We will leave North Carolina on Monday morning and make a stop in Mississippi to visit DH's maternal grandmother. Then on Tuesday, we are driving the rest of the way home. I miss my furbabies, so I know I will be ready to see them and sleep in my own bed!!

Thank you everyone! I am so ready to go home eventhough I know I will miss my DS#1, but the Marines is his life now. Plus I want to get home to my furbabies. My MIL called last night to say one of them were sick. I told her to let me know how he does over night. She called again this morning to say he was worse. I called my friend who works for a vet; the vet we use. I told her the symptoms and she told me what to do. I asked her that if he doesn't get better to please take him with her to her work so the vet could find out what was going on. DH talked to his mom a little while ago and she said he is drinking water and still feeling yucky, but not as bad as yesterday. I hope he will be ok. I want to go home and check on him, but at least I know he is in good hands and will be taking to the vet if it gets worse.

The boys have been water rats all week! I don't know how much more water they can soak up. I am glad they are having so much fun and enjoying it.
