Steamboat Springs, Durango, Cripple Creek, uh...where else, Aspen (getting really pricey now), Vail, etc.
I really don't know much more than that as far as get away type places. Not all are fishing areas, but Fishing is with in a reasonable distance.~~ Missy ~~

Estes Park has cabins and is very beautiful, very family oriented. I live about 40 minutes from there.

There is also a gorgeous YMCA camp area up there that my teen spent a week conference at.

Yes, there are lots of family-friendly cabins in the Estes Park area along US 34 and the Big Thompson River. I'm not sure about fishing, but you can also check out the summer rates for ski areas around Winter Park -- that's a nice area and I know they have cabins.
