My sister and I are going to Montreal to spend the night. We have NO clues about hotels, prices, money, maps, what we need to cross the border by car, rules that we should know...

I've never been there myself, but hear it's a great place to visit. You may be eligible for a GST tax refund. Check out the link on the web-site. You may be asked for your birth certificate to cross the border and your money will be worth a lot more here. Sorry I couldn't help more. Have a great trip.
