I got dh a big Hershey kiss, a bag of Ghirardelli filled dark chocolates and a mushy card!
I sent dd(16) flowers at school today and got her a 1.00 box of chocolates and a card.
Ds(13) is getting a small gift, box of candy and card.
Dh will probably remember. I won't say he will for sure because sometimes he forgets things like this LOL. I will probably get a very sweet, romantic, mushy card and who know what else???

Unfortunately we can't celebrate by giving gifts for each other or the kids (just cant afford it) We'll maybe make a special dinner, maybe heart shape mini pizza, pink strawberry cupcakes etc .. will be fun for the kids. We may watch the movie speed after the kids are in bed - that was the first movie we watched together (and back then we watched it on VHS too LOL)

We probably won't exchange cards or gifts. To my way of thinking cards are just a waste, it is a sweet gesture but it's just money we throw in the trash a few weeks or months later. As for gifts, both of us agree that mandatory holiday gift giving is not really a gift... so we tend to save the money for something we are both really enthused about doing another time.
However, I am making a nice dinner for us tomorrow night (we went out last year) and we will have a special evening together. [wink]Use it up, Wear it out,

Greebo and I don't view Valentines day as a gift giving occasion. We discussed it when our first one rolled around and we both agreed so we don't celebrate it. I might, just might tell him I love him.... but only if he is good.

I will make a nice dinner tonight though, mostly because I want it. LOL
Tomorrow will be left overs or a Mexican lasagna since we will be DIYing it all day.The Free Spirit Saver who walks the path with Greebo.

Hubby and I usually exchange cards, bought or homemade and I make a nice dinner.

We don't have anything planned. We have several gift cards and COULD go out to dinner if we wanted, but we'd have to bring the kids. Also, we don't really care about Valentines day. I'll probably make some construction paper valentines with DS1 and maybe pick some flowers to give to his nonna.

I bought Zac a 25$ itunes gift card. There is a c.d. coming out on the 21st that Zac wants so he'll buy it with the gift card. Wesley got him a few things of the Axe body-spray.
Zac and I made Wesley a little goodie basket out of Toy Story items we found in the dollar spot at Target.
Hubby is supposed to remember and get me something, I requested bubble bath items to turn my bubble bath experiences into a spa.
We're not going to go out--I don't want to pay a sitter. Instead, we'll use a free code for a redbox rental. I also picked up some splurge items at the grocery store and we're going to have a nice romantic homemade dinner.Last edited by McD; 02-13-2009 at 01:24 PM. Reason: more to say

Although we are celebrating we are only doing so by having a special meal. I think we have way too many commercial holidays.
