$45. Bought an iTunes gift card for the teen daughter who is in the Navy (am missing her can you tell?) and a huge 3 lb chocolate heart for the teen daughter who is still at home. Its the most I've ever spent on them for Valentine's. Am annoyed with myself but I did love their reactions as they know I don't usually give much for that holiday.

Let's see, I spent $6 on valentine cards (DD 10 needed them for class and then I got DD 3 some so she would feel included). I spent $9 on DD 3 gift and $13 on DD 10 gift. DH and I used our Red Lobster gift cards from our anniversary that we hadn't had a chance to use so only spent $9 out of pocket for the tip. Then about $11 for milk shakes and pieces of pie. So total $48.

Nothing on Valentine's Day except a huge major argument. Let's just say that he so was not my valentine.

He did take me out for pancakes on Monday though, partially to make up for being such a butt and partially for Valentine's Day. So, like $25.

I spent more on Valentines Day this year than normal. I bought my husband a Shopsmith Mark V.I did not consider cost, I bought what I wanted to give him. I had money set aside for it, planned in advance and not a bit of guilt or remorse. DH works very hard, and sometimes I forget to let him know just how special he is, and how unselfish. He bought me a pair of ruby earrings with a matching necklace and bracelet. Small and delicate, but very pretty. I do not know the cost. We had a steak(our beef) potato and salad dinner, rented some movies. And we had some time alone together, which is priceless.

DH and I cooked dinner and dessert. He cleaned the kitchen and the kids did some chores. We watched a movie and spent the day together. So, $0.00 and it was wonderful!
