    Default Frugal Valentine Gifts

So, what frugal Valentine gifts are you giving this year? I am making my husband white chocolate peppermint bark (with leftover candy canes! lol) and some home made chocolate chip cookies. I will go out and buy some kind of tin or something for $1 to put them in. For my kids I am still deciding

We don't really do a lot of gifts for this holiday. I will probably make DH a nice steak dinner.

That sounds nice I had thoughts of dinner but I am running way behind this year for some reason so I need to think of an activity to do! lol I think maybe we might all go out to dinner or something as "Valentines" Thanks for the idea

He is already smiling..so know it is too much info. but I love that is the samething I am size bigger or smaller doesn't matter.....men are visual..... oh my I am so embrassed ... we would send the kids to grannys when they were younger

I buy candy for our older kids that don't have valentine parties at school anymore. Usually get a couple of Papa Murphy's $6 heart shaped pizzas and take some chocolate chip cookie dough and shape it into a big heart shaped cookie or maybe I'll make some cupcakes. No gifts. My husband has written me a poem and bought me flowers before, but I'm not expecting anything. Our weeknights are so busy with kids activities that this is about all we get to- but we are happy so its all good.

i use to buy gifts for the kids at CVS the year before when the were 75% -90% off ( non perishable - plush- little games etc)
now they are older i usually give them a 5-10$ GC to a minimart or store ( if i earn some store they like GC from mypoints )

usually give dh something he will like book - clothing etc
this year we are on a tight budget due to missing a paycheck due to layoff and new job
this year i will probably bake a cake of some sort
make some jello add whipped cream
depends on what i see i have in my baking pantry .
