    Default Wet cold Wednesday

ugh, we didn't get ice but it sure is cold. Today dd gets out of school at 12:40.

I ran to the bank to make a deposit after I dropped her off at school.
    Did some house work.

Now I turned off the central heat(our thermostat is wonky and half the time the gas doesn't even catch so we blow ac--crud)and sat down on the couch with a quilt and a space heater. The dog is beside me under the covers and I am quite toasty.

Oh well it will help keep the gas bill down....I will be getting a new thermostat asap. It will caost about $60 and I HOPE that is the problem or we will have to call a service man and frankly I may wait until NEXT winter if it needs doing. Winter is almost over and being in Texas, things are pretty mind and half the time the heater works.

Everyone stay warm and try and stay off icy roads! BE SAFE ya'll.

It's raining here and very foggy ~ it's supposed to get up to 70º YAY!!!

I already went to the dog park and Zippy is muddy so it looks like a bath is in order.

We are having company for dinner so the roast is in the crockpot and I still have to make 2 pies. I have to wash the tablecloth, put it on the table and set it. I need to vacuum, pick up after the dog, and wash the kitchen floor.

I want to work on my new afghan some today, too.

Sun is finally peaking out. Too cold to melt the snow we got but still nice to see. Took the oldest to work. The other two are doing their lessons for the day. Right now they are watching the last bit on the FPU DVD. I cleaned all the shelves and walls in the fridge already. Still have a little grocery shopping, CVS deals to pick up and drop off library books. If there is time, I will be scrubbing the bathroom.

Already did a load of laundry and is hanging every where to dry. I've done a load or 2 of laundry every day this week and haven't used my dryer at all, just hanging everywhere. That's okay. My husband will have leftover potato soup for lunch, I have an Avon sales meeting a noon today. After that going to make a deposit and more peddeling Avon. Have a good day!

It is sunny, warmer ,and all the snow is melting. I like that.I got out to go to the gym and swim, then did my regular morning household things.I am going to the dentist in a bit to have my teeth cleaned and polished. I need to pick up some stamps and go to the bank while I am out. This afternoon I want to run the floor buffer on the downstairs hall and gloss it up. I also want to organize the desk and shelves in our library, and change the furniture around in there, if I can. It is a small room and hard to work with. Well, hope you all have a good day.

It's 78 degrees out here, nice and sunny, with a slight breeze. Just puttering around doing housework today.

It is sunny outside today and about +34. So I will be heading off for my walk soon. I have been waiting til closer til noon so the sun warms up the air a little. Other than that, I want to finish a scarf I am working on, do laundry and pick up a bit. I hope everyone has a great day!

laundry here today too. I got a little behind on it due to DH coming and going at odd days/times for work here lately. It is rainy and cool here today, but between the kids school work and the house chores I'm staying plenty busy.

It's sunny and warming up... -5 C this morning. I'm happy! I have a friend coming this afternoon to visit. Today is DD#2's birthday. I'll be skipping prayer meeting tonight to phone her and talk to her. Gotta embarrass her on Facebook first. Wish I knew how to do e-cards...

Will be rug hooking some today and reading some more I hope. Really want to finish hooking my current rug hooking project.

It is cold and rainey here. Just took out the trash. Ended up exercising inside instead of the usual walk. Was able to get some work done on the computer. Will go around and clean any glass items while catching up on my shows. Hopefully later on will be able to get some drawing in.

Pretty much a lazy day today.

made home made buns and put a roast in the crockpot for open face roastbeef sandwiches with gravy and french fires tonight. The whole house smells of yeast bread and roast--wonderful smells!

    did some laundry

took care of some budget business and some money business for oldest dd.

trying to not let the weather get me to down..at least it isn't dark out and there is a light sun shining.

Today I am trying to use up some old(er) things in the freezer and fridge - I pulled some juice to the front that had been neglected after being shoved to the back (and is nearing the date on the bottle), and forced it on my toddler at lunch (he really didn't mind). I also pulled out a frozen container of leftovers from Thanksgiving to eat for lunch tomorrow or the next day.

Used an old rag for cleaning, rather than paper towels.

My mom brought me an end table to borrow indefinitely, because we really needed one by our couch, and it's an odd size space and required a very small table. I'm happy we won't have to buy one. I pulled a lamp out of a closet and put it on top, and it is just right.

Spending no money today! Straightening up the house and cleaning what we DO have. Will probably rotate the kids' living room toys today - we keep a box of toys downstairs for them to play with, and have one in a closet - we rotate every few weeks to keep it fresh.

It's sloppy snow here. I've already been out & did my month's worth of shopping. Went to Aldi, Price Chopper, and the Commissary. Everything is put away and now I'm relaxing with a cup of coffee. I need to start a fire in the woodstove here shortly. Other than that, I'm done. I'm too pooped from the shopping trips!

My neice came over for a little bit. We watched Green Acres and made oatmeal cookies.

Dinner was early and it was wonderful. A new sucessful recipe.

I cleaned the kitchen and apart from a little laundry I am parking my rear and watching Lost with a big cup of decaf.
