Windy Wendsday here - What's up there?
Ah a wind storm with possible 70 mph winds at some point is just what we need here.....can ya hear the sarcasm. Anyway I'm hopeing we don't get too many trees that come down although they said to expect it. With as wet as the ground is predictions are that we'll have lots of trees uproot.
Monday pulled together eventually. Dad spent most of the day in the ER but did get to go home. No bloodclots and it doesn't appear to be his heart so the biggest problems were knocked out which is a good thing. I'm guessing whatever this turns out to be is a reslut of the temps. and his behavior while the power was out. Anyway the point is whatever "it is", is not the life threatening situation we were afraid of with his history. Chalk one up for the positives.
Yesterday was mostly routine but full. I enjoyed every minute of it! I'm glad things are starting to go back to normal.
As for today here's the plan
~ work
~ make dinner (use up some frozen leftovers)
~ exchange some DVDs with a friend
~ retrieve my freezer stuff from where it's stored
~ pay bills
~ talk with DH about him going to get a check-up (He's so not going to want to have this discussion)
~ fling 25 items
~ laundry with homemade detergent in cold
Since it's Waste Not Wensday I am proud to say almost everything up there has a frugal benefit.

Ugh, I love and hate this thread everyday!
It makes me think about my day ahead, which I hate...but it gets me organized for the day ahead so I love it!
I finally woke up with the cold that I have been fighting off, so that stinks! It's actually not too bad, so I am hoping this is as bad as it will get! I'm going to keep drinking my water all day and take some Zicam after every meal, as that does seem to help! I'll be skipping the gym today too, I hate coughing while I'm working out!
Other than that, here is my plan for the day:
~Get the boys up, dressed and fed
~Get the boys to school
~Get my sewing stuff moved out to the garage, so I can re-claim my laundry room (We actually have a rec room in our garage, so I am setting up a table and taking it over for sewing)
~Check with Menards to see if they have any lye yet (If they do, I'll be making a batch of soap)
~Pick up DS from preschool at lunch time
~Get some laundry done, after my laundry room is cleaned up
~Pick up DS after school since it will be raining
~Make pork loin for dinner
~Preschool board meeting at 7pm (I need to double check the time, but I'm pretty sure it is 7)
That is about it. I'll do some general cleaning and dishes and things like too!

Going to be a busy day here. Wednesdays always are as its the 1/2 day at school.
Have 5 stores to visit and clean up cards racks. Put out the last of the Valentines so maybe they'll get bought so I won't have to throw them away next week. What a waste! One of the things I dislike about this job is the waste.
Then home have 2 loads of landry to fold and put away
Need to give dogs a bath thank goodness its warmer
For supper DD's favorite Meatballs that go Klunk
Hope to finish stitching together the top layer of a quilt.

Rainy but less windy here today. I was fasting Monday. Tuesday I had a colonoscopy (joy). Today I am back at full-speed. I have a to-do list that includes catching up the housework from the past two days. DD and I will clean the guest bedroom as we are turning it into the nursery for Sprout (nicname for baby as DD's nicname is Bean). We need to move all the stuff out of it and scrub the walls so we can paint it. Right now it just has a matte white paint on it (we just bought the house in July- all the walls are this powdery white). We will be hitting the thrift stores looking for white lacy curtains for the room. I also need to make sure she takes time to work on her English journal entries (she homeschools).

After work today I am going to my Sisters house to eat dinner. When I get home I need to do some general straightening of the house, a load of laundry and pay a few bills. I didn't get to work on my valentines day cards the other day like I wanted to so I will work on those after I finish up everything for the night.

Starting to pack for my weekend trip. Friend I'm traveling with will call to make final plans.
More kitchen stuff needs to be cleaned and then put away (from tearing up the kitchen last weekend).
Lunch is left over meatloaf sandwiches, no cooking needed!
Today is dump day, so this morning's job is to clean out the fridge, gather all the trash together, etc. so that we can go when the dump opens.
Need to find addresses to ship the box of books that's been haunting my kitchen since before the operation and get the chapbook mailed to the customer in NY.
And, as per usual: filing, cleaning, and more laundry!

It's supposed to get up to 50 today.

So far I've done the dishes, picked up the house & tramped through the woods & walked on the road with the dog. Man getting up that hill with the snow was a workout. Riley (dog)was in his glory though with all the deer scent. Never had so many deer (saw 17 together one time) so close to the house all winter long, there is deer
everywhere. That stuff doesn't decompose like most
does, it stays around forever it seems. Pelleted PITA is what it is.
Darn deer.
I still have some laundry to fold, quick
, walk at least 4 more times & dinner to make.
Have a good one & sorry for the tmi.~*Darlene*~

GG, I'm glad your dad is doing better.
My day is going to be quiet. We have a super warm day coming today, up in the mid-50s! I'll probably open up the front doors to let in some fresh air for a while.
I need to:
~wash breakfast dishes
~take dinner out of the freezer
~empty hampers
~wash/dry laundry
~fold/put away laundry
~vacuum the downstairs
~lessons with the kids
~knit on ds's blanket
~get pictures of finished knit stuff (hopefully!)
~pkg up a box to send to the post office w/ dh tomorrow
~watch LOST tonight
Hope everyone has a great day!

I'm on-line this morning, and reading. This afternoon I'm working the kitchen for a funeral. This evening I'll be at a prayer meeting. That's my day today. Hopefully tomorrow will be a bit quieter and i can get some dyeing done.

It's rainy here today, the dogs have left muddy little tracks all down the hall.I worked out this morning and did the household routine. I have been busy on the top floor of the house. I want to get everything organized up there, as this summer we are going to redo the floors on that level.. We have never really worked with that level of the house in all the years we have owned it, we used just the main and second floors, and used the third for playing and storage.I am stopping for lunch, then will work the rest of the afternoon on it. This evening I am going to make Valentine cards for the grandkids. I have some vintage fabric to use.I also found several little vintage Valentine cards to decorate with. Very cute. Well, have a great afternoon!

After 70* weather yesterday we had snow this morning... this time of year I never plan on the weather because it changes too fast to be tracked.
Same old same old today... cleaned up the kitchen, washed a bunch of dishes. Need to pack up the date bars I made yesterday (finally finished my christmas baking).
DH came home for lunch. I love that he works close enough to do that. Will start the soup for dinner in a couple hours, it won't take long to cook.
Meanwhile... what to do?Use it up, Wear it out,
Make it do, Or do without. ~unknown

It's a stay at home day for us, except for signing tax papers with hubby tonight around 7. I keep meaning to get on this earlier in the day, but this is our first back with no visitors, so I'm slowly getting in the swing of things.
~Make bed
~Clean kitchen
~Clean bathroom mirrors/countertops
~Do boys laundry, fold, and put away
~Get the kids schooling done
~Make dinner for the kids
~Read my bible
