Waste not Wednesday 6/10
Good morning frugal friends. I have a long list of cleaning I need to get done today and tomorrow. The only thing I have done so far is take out the trash. Not a very good start. In my defense I slept until 9:00 and of course I have to have my 2 cups of coffee.
Here's what I'd LIKE to get done today...
-dust frontroom
-sweep frontroom
-sweep and mop hallway and kitchen
-do grocery list
-figure bills for this paycheck
-clean off dining room table(this is my one bad habit, I put everything there).
-do some laundry
-fix dinner
-do dishes

Work today for a few hours then teach a lesson. DBF is at home most of the day so i asked him to do as much laundry as possible & wash the dishes (we'll see how much actually gets done!). We are leaving on a trip in a couple weeks so i'm working on those plans today & would love it if the apartment was completely clean & made up before we leave on the 25th.
Wish I was at the beach today! maybe this evening to relax
Working on:

I went to the library this morning because I never made it yesterday because it was storming. I have skimmed some books and doing laundry now.
House is pretty clean, so besides just basic and normal stuff, the day should be lazy and stress free.

The boys & I spent all day at a field trip....Farmer Boy Days, based on Laura Ingalls Wilder's book Farmer Boy. It was lots of fun. They got to make butter, bake bread, pop popcorn, milk a goat, see how soap was made, see how they washed laundry, ride in a cart pulled by a team of oxen, ride in a wagon pulled by workhorses, sit in a real one-room school house, and learn how to hook rugs. There were a few other displays, but we'll do them next time we go.
Now I'm home & resting before starting dinner. I plan on doing nothing but knitting tonight lol. I'm pooped!

potty training my 21 month old...well almost 22 month old. He had on underwear from 1pm - 7 pm and Never had any accidents and peed in the potty 4 times. Three of those times he went and sat there himself. One of them I asked him if he needed to pee and he said PEE so I sat him there.
Other then that Laundry, which sucks cause I cannot use the line because it has been raining here for days.Kelly

We had a pretty quiet day yesterday. We slept late (even the boys which was so nice), then just spent most of the day hanging around in the yard under the sun. It was relaxing.
I did find a dress for my soon to be SIL's wedding shower this Saturday (and it was on sale AND I had Kohl's cash, so it was really cheap).
We had a super quick dinner (brats and sweet corn) and went to DS's baseball game. He pitched and did really, really well. He's getting to be quite the baseball player!

Hey sassyclass, for your dining room table, what worked for me was to buy/make a lovely centerpiece and tablecloth. Making it pretty helped tremendously.
Anyway, for today I have
Taken DS and DD to swim practice, and while I was there cleaned up the pool area (we had a meet last night and it was looking a little messed up), figured out what the treasurer owes me for for concession stand purchases, and helped sort award ribbons and distribute them
Washed a bunch of dishes used last night at swim meet for concession stand
Laundry all done and put away (well, I did MAKE the teens do this)
Caught up correspondence - WHEW
Was invitied to speak at a state-wide homeschool mothers' retreat this fall
Took a nap (working a ten-hour night shift tonight)
I still need to
Fix dinner
Do some more paperwork
Nap a little longer and then
GO TO WORK AT 10PM

Working the night shift 'cause they never have meetings at 3am!

Dropped off lunch to ds's teachers at daycare ~ end of the year gift, then we filled our water jugs, came home and made more jam. I took a nap on the couch, the kids played in the basement. Just finishing up dinner clean-up now. I still have to pay bills, make plans for tomorrow (watching my nieces), freezing the rest of the berries and doing a load of laundry. Still haven't touched the crafting area ~ need to get that done this week.....

First day of summer school - went really well. They are clearing the land to put a portable next to my classroom - the kids are enthralled by all the big equipment - will make this an interesting six weeks!! Am getting slowly caught up in my classroom.
Then off to physical therapy - then home - DD is heading to Kauai tomorrow for a long weekend. DH got home last night and will be joining DD on Friday. Both are coming home on Tuesday - so shall have a long weekend to myself at home.Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.
