Light day at work today, we are having lunch brought in. Not working OT, I have too much to get done before Friday. Tonight I need to sew on some buttons and finish cleaning up the kitchen.

my only chore i have to do while on vacation today is to take the cat to the vet to get her blood sugar checked.
    11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
    credit card debt 7500
    mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
    then live on the rest!

i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

I had a devil of a time getting up today. I think it has a lot to do with the sun not shining today.

After I dragged myself out of bed, I exercised, started a load of laundry, cleaned the guest bathroom, ate breakfast and started a pot of beans. For some reason the water was dripping from the handle of my pressure cooker. So I'm letting it depressurize before I try to figure out what went wrong. I'm thinking the gasket inside the lid wasn't on all the way or something. I checked everything before I started, but right now that's the only thing I can come up with.

Today we're going to make cookies and the exercise I did today will be canceled out. But hey, it's Christmas break and we are going to make the best of it!

    Have a great day everyone!

Did the laundry, roasted some chestnuts, will take a walk later on, need to vacuum the floors, before bedtime, I will put the pork in the crockpot and turn it on.

Also need to update my calendar.

Ahhh, home at last. I did my 8 hours at work today and it wasn't a bad day at all, I even got a free lunch since this was our Christmas dinner. Stopped at the library and renwed 3 books. Came home and started another load of laundry, I have 1 load left. I think I'll fix one of those frozen meals for two for dinner, do the dishes, and get ready for bed early. I have the next 4 days off so I can relax a little tonight, get some reading in and hit the bed.

I am exhausted. Woke up early to take my dad for more diagnostic testing. We're trying to make sure he's A-OK healthwise and try to find out why his blood pressure is through the roof. I feel bad for him b/c I can't go into the testing room with him to explain whats going to happen to him with each test and what it's for. He's got a bit of a language barrier mixed in with inability to focus when the tech starts going through the explanation in clinical terms and very fast. I told him to tell the tech to slow down and to speak louder b/c he's older. I think today was was better then Monday - less complaining when he came out.

We ran a few errands for him, specialty asian stores then we dropped my car off at the dealership to get warranty work done and to try to get my squeak looked at. Every time I drop my car and ask for it to be looked at, it doesn't squeak. Today however EVERYONE within a 1 mile radius was sure to have heard me LOL. I may as well have gone running into the service bay blaring air horns hahaha the looks on their faces. Do not tell me you didn't hear that squeak now ROFL! Took me 3 months to finally have them actually hear it. They fixed all the warranty stuff then did some more final grocery shopping. There was NO ONE in the grocery stores - totally vacant which freaked me out a lil. The mall however (we drove by it on way home) was beyond packed!

No need to venture out until Christmas day and that's only to uphold our annual tradition of going to the casino for fun and buffet.

I may try to squeak a load of laundry in tonight but definitely baking up a storm tomorrow!
