    Default Waste Not Wed 12/30

Today isn't as cold as yesterday, thx goodness! I managed to stay cooped up at home but today, I must venture out. Need to take my dad for more lab testing, poking & prodding...literally. I hope he realizes what tests he's going to have today b/c I really don't want to remind him (hello prostate exam! - TMI? Sorry!)

So while he's at the lab being tested, I will run to the bank, grocery store and library near the lab to kill time. Seeing as he had to fast for one of the tests...we'll probably venture out for lunch after and possibly some shopping. I know there's some stores he likes on that side of town - way at the other end. Perhaps some consoling shopping after he realizes what his tests are? lol

Hopefully after we get home...I get to hide out again

Until then....have a great day everyone!

Good Morning! I'm so tired this morning. I have to get to bed earlier at night. I need to pick up some catfood at lunch today. Tonight I will finish vacuuming and take all of the boxes and christmas wrap down the basement. I'm going to have to find some time each month to work in the basement. Even if it's only for 15-30 minutes at a time. I have to pay a couple of bills and then hopefully will head to bed early!

    Have a great day!

It's all of 13f today :snow:

I kept thinking NYE is Friday... OOPS... so, I need to go to the grocery store.

Nothing too special planned today since Diva is sleeping over her Big Dad's tonight. I may try to catch up on my to-do list today. I say may, because I know me too well to say will

Made myself a deal yesterday if I got all of the house work done, the Christmas decorations put away and the laundry done that I could go to Goodwill today to look for 1 item.

I got everything done yesterday and went to Goodwill and found a solid Oak TV stand for $22! I had been using my coffee table.

So the rest of the day will be hanging around here, will probably make some Fried apple pies or cookies. I do not plan on spending any more money today!

    Happy Wednesday all.

Staying home for most of the day. I might run out and grocery shop later this evening after DH gets home. I hate making DD go out in this cold weather (24F today) Just finished putting the table decor in totes and will be tidying up around here. Going to stop at the library (if I go to the grocery store) and look for some cook books and budgeting books. We need new recipies as 2010 is the year for eat at home. The budgeting books are to help me budget better as we would like to be debt fee by the end of 2010 and on our way to purchasing a larger home. Ours is just too small.

So all in all a day of staying around the house and not spending any money, besides the $50.00 IF I go grocery shopping.

Where is this week going? Of course it would FLY by when I have the week off from work and it's the kids' last week off from school. Ugh. We have so enjoyed sleeping in! At any rate, I need to continue to plug along. I have probably 3 more loads of laundry to get done today. I need to clean out the fridge, clean two of the kids' bedrooms (with their help), and I guess finally take down the Christmas tree and decorations. I need to head into town to get party supplies for ds's birthday party this weekend this afternoon, as well. The list never ends. Maybe I'll just play on FV all day. Ha! Have a great day, everyone!

Even though this week is pretty low key, I keep on waking up wondering what day it is. Seriously, yesterday I woke up thinking it was Sunday and I needed to get the paper. Now I can't seem to remember when New Years Eve is. Not a good way to start the new year. lol

So, got up and took my walk. Am determined to loose this weight again. Was all bundled up and walked as fast as I could. Came home, took a shower, cleaned oven, watered some plants, made the kale in refrigerator.

Now just catching up on the computer and watching my soap. After that turning off the tv, putting on the music and practicing painting.

After that need to do some reading then finish knitting project today. Will be busy but atleast inside. Do not need to go outside again. Should also play with the cat since she is starting to yell alot.

I started the day right by doing a load of laundry and walking on the treadmill. Met my sister for lunch and found some great deals for Christmas presents 2010 marked down. While I was gone dh cleaned the house, hung our new lights (Christmas presents) and is hanging the new shower heads (I bought them almost 4 years ago ) I should stop playing here at the village and get ready for our company tomorrow, but I am just so unmotivated.

Today one of my bff's from childhood came to visit. She brought her two girls and our 5 kids played together. My boys weren't having the best day, though, and I knew they were probably tired.
After she left, the kids and I went to pick up my van from the shop. Both boys fell asleep in the back seat. Funny how you just know, right?

Everyone is kinda laying low this afternoon and chillin'. I've got laundry going and am reheating leftovers for dinner.
