Wacky Wednesday

Today was my big monthly trip to the commissary.
I was delayed first thing because I had to fix the computer. Thought my speakers crapped out, turns out they just came unplugged. Phew!

So I went to the commissary, spent a little over an hour gathering what we will need for the month (minus more milk, bread, cereal, & fresh fruits/veggies). I also got some fabulous deals on seasonal food items. Got up to the register, lugged all the stuff out of the cart, got it nearly all rang up...took out my checkbook...and....


Dh used the LAST effing check and didn't put a new book in there
I was soooo ticked. So I had to leave my groceries there, run across the street & take out the cash (thank goodness the credit union is so close!) all the while giving dh (not dear!) a piece of my mind over the cell phone. I could ring his neck, it's not even the first time he's done this. Although usually he takes the checkbook out of my purse, not telling me, then I get where I need to use it and D'oh! no checkbook Jerk.

Anyway. I got that all done. Resisted the temptation to stop at other stores for after Christmas sales. Got lunch for the kids at McD's & came home. It took me an hour to put all the stuff away! But with all that I got (two carts full) I only spent $325.

Now I'm relaxing. Waiting for the kids to pick up all their crap. Again.
Only 5 more days until they go back to school & I can get my house back in order again.

Tonight we're going to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

My DS#1 saw them last weekend and loved the show. From what I heard from him, you will have a blast.

I have only completed two of the task so far. The yard took longer than expected because I started taking everything back out of the shed and threw out more stuff....enough for 5 big black hefty garbage bags.
~Take down the tree
~Clean up the back yard (DH and the oldest 2 boys cleaned out the shed 2 weeks ago and left all the stuff to throw away sitting outside of it, but didn't pick it up. UGH! So I will go gather it up and put it in garbage bags for the garbage man to haul away.)
