    Question Gifts/Cardbox

With the wedding being about a month away, we're having a lot of friends & family ask what we'd like to receive as a gift since we never sent out any registry information. Its a very small and intimate wedding and we've tried to spread the word to everyone, that we do not want anything nor need anything since we're merging two full households. In fact we're purging a lot so more of anything isn't needed nor wanted.

My question is: do we put out a card box 'just in case'?

Are you having a sign-in station?

A wedding I went to had a small table, a young girl sitting at it with the guest sign-in book. On that table was the guest book, and the announcement was taped to a pretty basket for cards. People could sign in and drop their card in the basket.

Yah, I suck at this money stuff, I know. That's why I'm here.

Nah, the way we look at is: its a very small & intimate wedding, each person was invited due to a specific reason so we will know who was at our wedding years after. Plus the pics will serve as a keepsake, no need for a sign in table/guest book thingy.

I did not expect gifts at my wedding, but people brought them anyway. We found a small table to set up on one side of the room for people to put things.
