I'm a horrible person, maybe. I don't go. I haven't been to a wedding since my brother got married 15 years ago. I don't go, don't send anything, I do rsvp that I wont be attending.

For me the hardest part is travel expenses. I went to a wedding 2 weekends ago. I had to buy a plane ticket and pay for a hotel room. Add in the $100+ for the place setting of china I bought as a gift and it was pushing $500! ouch! i wouldn't have gone except it was a dear friend. I had a wonderful time and am glad I was able to attend but the sticker shock did hurt a little. Luckily, I had the money and did not rack up any debt. I don't anticipate being invited to any more weddings for awhile though.
