Hi,
My name is Chriss and I am very excited to have found this forum.
I am 40, married 19 years to a wonderful man and have three children, two boys ages 17 and 13 and one girl age 14. Also two dogs and three tankfuls of fish. I would have a cat too but hubby won't let me.
I live in Greely, which is now apart of Ottawa, Canada thanks to amalgamation. We are a rural area which is fast becoming the "trendy" place for people to build big houses. Which means we will be moving soon, I hope!
I love to knit and crochet and fortunately I am able to make some extra money doing this on contract for a local wool store. My other hobbies are reading, gardening and making homemade soap.
Hi and welcome to the village. Hurray, another member that crochets. I'm a beginner, but am really enjoying it.
That's wonderful you work on contract for a wool store.
What types of homemade soap do you make? (glycerin? hot/cold process?)

Welcome to the Village Chriss, please make yourself at home.
Want us to e-mail hubby with all the wonderderful things a furry little cat friend can bring to his life?

I make both cold and hot process (in my handy crockpot) soap.
This sounds great. Maybe you can share the how to's sometime. I've been carrying on for too long about soapmaking and have not actually done a thing. (well I take that back I did melt and pour thanks to Dee selling me the kits so cheaply)

Okay, I am starting to get the hang of this!
I would love to give some tips on soapmaking. There is nothing wrong with melt and pour. That's what got me started. But be warned once you get hooked on making your own soap there is no going back to the store bought stuff
Welcome Chriss! I'm sure that you will love it here and make lots of new friends. We're a pretty friendly group!
I'm Debbie, homeschooling mom to 3 teenaged sons ages 16 and twins who will be 15 at the end of this month. I'm applying for a job as a librarian in our town, so I may add that to my title also soon.
Welcome Chriss to the village. I'm one of those Canucks. I live right dab in the middle of Canada - Manitoba. Its great to see another Canadian here and to see you like doing a lot of things we all enjoy doing.
