What did you get free in August?
Another month, more freebies, I hope!
This morning, I picked:
3 green peppers
2 yellow peppers
3 banana peppers
handful of hot peppers - these plants are so loaded!

Nothing yet, but I see bell peppers, corn, and carrots in my garden. I can't see the potatoes - duh, underground.
I hope I get free stuff soon - either garden or otherwise.

A bus trip to Hunterdon Hills(dinner theater) had a FABULOUS time.
From our garden
swiss chard
tomatoes
peppers, sweet, banana, hot, chili
A package of chicken thighs
A box of blueberries
A small bag of cherries
A large canister of oatmeal
An Avon dual sided pocketbook mirror
and a ring holder(door prizes)

2012 Goals
2. Snowball the CC payment into Sears Credit Card bill (no interest) and get it paid off ASAP.
1. To pay off CC (only $917.15 left!) and never again charge more than I can pay off each month.
3.Snowball the CC and Sears card payments into hospital bill (due w/ Baby #2 via C-section in mid-January). Pay that off ASAP.4. Snowball payments into DH's student loan (as of 12/4/11 there's still $4770.84 remaining). Pay off by 12/31/12.
5. Keep our grocery budget to $300 each month.
6. Use Dave Ramsey's budget sheet and get on track with this each pay period.
7. Get and keep checkbook balanced and keep an eye (weekly if not daily) on our e-statements.
8. Get savings account up to $8,000 (incl. emergency fund)
9. Make 2 Christmas gifts per month: 0/24.
10. Get our home organized: use a receipt book, keep my coupon organizer in check, have a touch-once policy for paper (touch once and then file or toss).
11. Achieve "give or get" goal of $1500 for the board I serve on by 9/30/12.
12. Taxes filed by March 17.

Vegies from my garden
A prescription for Nasonex- it is a new prescription for my son, and his doctor gave me a voucher for the first fill free. Normally I'd be too distracted to notice the voucher in the information packet, but my new frugal ways have made me much more observant.
$10 free groceries using a coupon on the sale flier for our local grocery store

A new blood glucose meter, after I mail in the rebate. This was VERY timely -- I was going to order it online tonight. The frugal fairy was watching over me.
51 large meatballs leftover from a big going away party at work. Meatballs aren't a favorite, and these are a little too peppery for my taste, but free food is free food.Donna

6 cucumbers, and a bushel full of leaf lettuce from the garden!! I have some items to purchase at Rite Aid and CVS and with the sale and coupons I will end up getting them for free (ok almost have to pay the sales tax)
