    2 burner hot plate
    Toaster oven (newer than mine)
    Box of cereal

I received two different laundry detergent samples in the mail this week.

I bought a 90.4 oz bottle of Ghiradelli Caramel sauce at the salvage store (hubby puts it in his coffee) for $3.99. I knew it was a good deal, but I didn't know how good of deal until I saw it in the store today for $29.99. So $3.99 is almost free! Hubby is SO happy and it will last forever!

MIL just called and said to come get her king-sized mattress and box springs! They are downsizing. It's only a couple of years old, pillow top, etc. ANYTHING is better than our older than dirt KS mattress.

I went to a garage sale today, and the lady had some free items. I got 3 bird feeders, and a frog wind chime. Then not free, but almost.......2 rooster pillows were .25 each. A wood heavy basket for 50 cents.

She had some curtain rods that were free. I didn't grab them, but maybe I should have. Must be something I could have done with them around here.

I picked up a free wooden deck chair frame at a garage sale today. It needs minor repair, and I already have a cushion for it. It'll be nice when we get our new deck built later this year.

At the same sale, I got two free lever-style vintage aluminum ice cube trays. I use those a lot and they're HTF, so I was happy.

At another sale, I got two sheets of 2x4 plexiglass which I use to repair bear-damaged bird feeders throughout the year. I also got a metal pole with four expensive swivel steel clips, and a scrap of non-skid stuff about 2x2. At the same sale, I picked up two like-new Pyrex baking pans with lids that were marked $10 for the pair. I gave the guy a $10 bill and he held out a five. I said no, they were $10. He said 'oh, well' and gave me the five! Who was I to argue?

I got a free quart of paint at Ace Hardware.
