I was at Barnes and Nobles buying Xmas stuff and the woman tried to talk me into buying a $25 membership. She said it was good for the whole family. I said DH never shops, just me. Then she said it was good at their Starbucks. I told her that that's what my sister uses hers for. She said "Sister!! that counts!!!".
And she asked for my sister's phone number to look up in the computer and gave me the discount! $8

Then at Toys R Us, I looked at the two cashiers - the teenager vs. older woman - I chose the older woman. I asked the woman if SHE had any of the coupons. She just smiled and took care of me. She rang up some of my purchases and gave me the $10 off next purchase card. Then she rang up the rest of my stuff and took the $10 off. Then gave me another $10 off card. I bet that the teenager couldn't have been bothered to figure it out or go through the effort. $20

~hand-me-downs for my youngest from her cousin- mostly summerclothes but they will fit her next summer. But also 3 old navy tops (long sleeve), 2 skirts , 4 other tops and 2 dressess The 2 pairs of pants are way too big at the waist

and are not elastic so I am going to have to see if I can Fix- them up. Also one of the dresses has a permenant marker stain on the bottom sleeve but I think I can remove that part and turn them up. I am going to try because Dd really likes that dress.

my friend works in the local supermarket and gets stuff that is reduced, plus she gets an extra discount, she bought me

steak
4 southern fried chicken breasts
8 vegetable samosas
1 vege chilli
3 portions bombay potato
12 onion bahjis
2 pizza
2 packs rashers

normally that would cost around 50 Euro - she got it for 5Euro but wouldnt take any money, took some of my handmade cards instead

I also got
sample of maxfactor foundation
pack of kleenex tissues

10 Euro free phone credit ( I collect points on a website and convert them into phone credit)

its been a good week!
