    dd 6th bday. usually i take them to eat where ever they want for their bdays. BUT this year I am trying to save $$. so i cooked her fave meal.

    breaded bakes chicken breast, mashed taters, gravy, corn, biscuits and strawberry cupcakes for dessert!

    Well technically it's spring now (Sept - Nov) but it's still quite cold.
    Jap pupkin is a type of pumpkin, also called kent. It's really sweet and full flavoured. Not the best steamed though, gets too water logged, but beautiful roasted. It's my fave pumpkin.

    No for my q.lol. How do you make no bake cookies?

    Oatmeal Fudge Cookies
    Recipe #80765 | 16 min | 15 min prep | add private note

    these are yummmmy.
    24 -36 cookies (change servings and units)


    Ingredients
    2 cups granulated sugar
    1/2 cup butter
    1/2 cup milk
    1/2 cup peanut butter
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    3 tablespoons cocoa
    3 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
    Directions
    1Mix granulated sugar, butter and milk in a pan.
    2Put over medium heat; bring to a full boil; for 1 minute.
    3Remove from heat.
    4Add peanut butter, vanilla and cocoa.
    5Stir well until peanut butter is melted.
    6Add rolled oats and blend thoroughly.
    7Pour into greased 8 or 9-inch pan.
    8Cool; cut into squares.
    9Can also be dropped by spoonfuls onto waxed paper.

    Very easy and you don't have to turn on the stove.

    DH and the kids had smoked Boston Butt, stuffing and steamed California veggies.

    I had vegetarian lasagna.

    Thanks very much for this recipe. I'm sure it will be a hit and will be a recipe that I won't eat too much of as I can't stand peanut butter!
