We are having pork chops, oven roasted new potatoes and green beans just picked from the garden this morning. I just finished baking a red velvet cake so that will be dessert.

Well, I'm going over to Crystal's house and having a piece of that red velvet cake. AND then going over to Becci's house and hugging that beautiful baby. I've got a cooker full of vegetable soup filled with HM broth, pork roast, & veggies. The secret to veg soup is beans of all kinds, lentils, rice, and pasta of your choice. I break up whole wheat spaghetti in small pieces. Throw it all in and will cook while your soup simmers. I will make beer bread when I make baked oatmeal, in just a few minutes. Enjoy.
Steve's Beer Bread
3c self rising flour
1/2c sugar
1 can beer..... Mix, put in sprayed loaf pan. 350* 35-40 min. Delish!Last edited by Ali Lee; 10-07-2008 at 02:05 PM.

We're having chicken fried steak w/homemade gravy, mashed potatoes, corn and greenbeans, and rolls...not sure whats gotten into me, but I haven't been nesting the last few days...I've been cooking! We'll have some of the triple fudge brownies or chocolate cream pie that I made last night for dessert.

DS has tonsillitis with a 103* fever. He had to get a shot this evening and feels horrible. We just had comfort foods: chicken noodle soup for him, clam chowder for DD, tomato for me & grilled cheese for everyone. I think DH just had a bowl of brownie overload ice cream.
