What's for Dinner, Sat 1/17?
DBF's uncle got some sheep killed and he gave us some mince that he had in the freezer and he couldn't get all the lamb in. It defrosted in the car while we were out (he also gave us a huge amount of meaty bones for the dogs). So with that and the steak we were meant to have last night, we'll be having a bbq dinner. Mince will be turned into patties.

We're going out for dh's fathers 75th birthday with his sisters and brothers, and, obviously, his father. So, we'll be spending money, but you are only 75 once...right? The kids will have mac and cheese or whatever my Mom makes them.

We do breakfast for dinner once a week, so we'll be doing pancakes, scrambled eggs, diced potatoes, sausage, and bacon. Oh, and strawberries and blackberries.

There is a ton of food in our fridge that has to get eaten so it will be leftovers.

I'm making a huge pot of Pasta e Fagioli. We'll have that with salad and yeast rolls. The leftover soup will get canned up. (without the pasta)

Leftover lamb in a yummy sauce with noodles, a veg or two, and some bread from the Central Market bakery. Hot tea and biscotti (dunked) for dessert.
