    Default The real Sunday 8th August thread

    I have some chops out. So hopefully we'll be back from the park to be able to put them on. will have mash and veg with it.
    I'm sure there will be leftover birthday cake for dessert. If not then there is fruit and yoghurt.

    Becci, I feel your pain (and joy, sometimes) about the two teenage boys. Had a couple of them, myself. Football and Rugby players. Also hockey, rowing, etc etc..... Sometimes we even had a couple of their friends over for dinner ( I actually called them their 'mates', lol). Food didn't stick around at my place.

    BIG eaters. And dh is the same way too. They are all big guys with like appetites. My boys have flown the coop though. LOVE the cheeks on that little guy in your lap in the pic. Looks a little like my youngest did. When you say chops, I'm assuming you mean lamb. I can't get dh to like lamb chops. I love 'em. With olive oil/garlic/rosemary. Mmmm.....

    We are having Steaks, Fettucine w/ parmesan, raw veggies tonight.

    Yes Lamb chops. We grew up on them so it's the norm for us. DBF's aunty raises them and every few months she has them slaughtered and we buy them off of her for a fraction of the cost in the shops. The only way we can afford them.
