Meh, I'm taking an off day in the kitchen. I think we're gonna have Tuna salad sandwiches or grilled ham and cheese sandwiches. Something easy and super simple.

We'll be rotissering a chicken on the grill with a spice paste from Thrill of the Grill and serving it with Sesame Noodle Salad and peas. Gotta love those 88¢lb whole chickens from Walmart. Loved them even more when they were 69¢lb a year ago.

Dh and I are going to a surprise party for one of my good friends, so we'll be eating there. However, we'll leave mac and cheese for the monkeys to eat while we're gone.

Eating out of the garden tonight. I'll grill the Japanese eggplant and stir-fry the onions, peppers, zucchini and yellow squash, roma tomatoes, and chard with olive oil and basil and oregano, and sprinkle that with parmesan. If we're extra hungry I'll cook some linguine.

    Beef and Beer

1 1/2 pounds cubed beef stew meat
    salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup all-purpose flour for coating
    1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 (12 fluid ounce) bottle beer
    1 1/2 cups beef broth
    1 tablespoon crushed dried rosemary
    1 pinch dried dill weed
    2 medium onions, chopped
    1 teaspoon minced garlic
    1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
2 lbs of potatoes peeled and cut up
1 lb of corn or carrots cut up( I used leftover corn on the cob this time)

Season the beef with salt and pepper, then dredge in flour to coat. Heat the oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, add the meat, and cook until browned on all sides, turning as needed. Remove the meat from the pot, and put in crockpot.
Add the onion and garlic to the pot; cook and stir until clear and starting to brown and add to crockpot. Pour in the beer and beef broth. Season with rosemary, dill and parsley. Add the potatoes, corn or carrots(any veggie you choose) cook in crockpot for 6 to 8 hours on low.

You could also cooked this in the pan for 1 to 2 hours.

we have leftover meat that's been grilled..... so the fam will eat that.

I'll probably open up a Trader Joes bag of veggie/pasta/sauce blend thing to eat and serve with it.

I see it being a clean out the fridge kind of meal
