I have never heard of deep fried squash! It sounds interesting. What kind of batter would you dip it into (I'm assuming it is batter coated). Would you share the recipe?

If you like deep fried zucchini you'll love this. We like it even better. Fix the same way you would the zucchini.

Slice the squash thin, wet it down ( we use plain old water ).

Put the coating mix in a ziploc or container with a lid then put in the squash and shake.

We use Autry coating mix in the bag. I think the Seafood one, not sure. Whichever is your favorite. You can also experiment with different seasonings/spices. Just add to the container or ziploc before adding squash or zucchini and shake. Can make it a hundred different flavors by doing this

Thank you for the recipe. I hate to admit this, but I've never had deep-fried zucchini either! This looks good though, and I know I will try both. I'm getting tired of zucchini the same ways all the time.

I've had deep fried zuc in a bar or big box type restaurant - kinda like mozza sticks but its zuc inside. Same as deep fried pickles.

For Thurs Sept 2 I think we're having liver & onions with bacon and potatoes, prob corn on the cob.

If you slice real thin it's real close to a potato chip. Dip in various dressing. We use Ranch...Blue Cheese is also good.

We'll be having garlic and cheese spiced sausage & peppers (for those who like peppers) on buns with a great big tossed salad loaded with veggies from the garden.
