I'm going for the frugal too and freeing few containers from the freezer. One I know is some beef broth from a pot roast, the other is that too or chicken broth...
It lost it's label...I'll be turning them both into Cheeseburger Soup.

Happy New Year everyone!
We are going to my Aunt's place for a uber-traditional dinner. That means turkey, stuffing, "ragout de boulette" (meatballs in gravy), "tourtière" (ground beef pie), potatoes, etc etc... Eventually will need Tums
But oh yum! My Aunt is the only one in the family who does that kind of thing anymore. Very excited!

I got a whole turkey on sale a few days ago, so it is going into the oven this morning. So dinner tonight will likely be roast turkey, and the rest will be divvied up into multiple other meals down the road.

My parents invited us over and we're having black-eyed peas, mustard greens, and cornbread...how's that for a southern New Year's meal? LOL! The kids will probably have a revolt...Maybe I can call my Dad and ask him to add some fatback in 'cause that would please the kids...lol.

My youngest son is leaving tonight. I'm going to make his favorite pork roast with apricot/thyme glaze. And taters. Him looooves taters.
